My baby turned 1.......

I can't believe it has been a year already since I gave birth to my first and only baby girl. Lauryn Elizabeth Burnett was born Thursday, May 29th, 2008 at 3:03pm and she weighed 9'13'' and was 21 in. long (2 weeks early). She cried a lot after she was born. Her face was all bruised from the delivery and was so chubby that she couldn't open her eyes. She was so precious. We were so excited to have our girl!
She has grown up so much this past year and has developed quite a little personality. It is so neat to the differences between boys and girls. She is so sweet and loves to be cuddled and kissed. She ADORES her brothers and has to be everywhere they are! She also loves her Mommy, which is alright by me!! Here's some photos of her growing the past 12 months.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LAURYN!!
She got a big girl car seat for her birthday and got to face forward!
That hat lasted about......2 seconds....long enough for me to take a picture. She LOVED the balloons...was totally mesmerized.

After Spencer went to school, Jacob, Lauryn and I went to the water park and played along with some friends from exercise class. She had a great time even though she felt a little "under the weather."

Totally worn out from the water park.

After naptime, we picked up Spencer from school and Lauryn got a present from Nana and Popi in the mail. She loves her first little purse! Thanks, Nana and Popi!

I made "Color Burst Cupcakes." Mmmmm, and SO CUTE! It took a lot of work, but it was totally worth it! Look at how cute those babies are! Lauryn had A LOT of fun eating hers!

Then we took the kids to Build a Bear Workshop at the mall and let the boys pick out an animal to stuff and dress to give to Lauryn as their present. I had to put this picture on here because it shows what was really going on. Spencer thought the "fluff machine" was too loud and that the whole process was too "babyish" for him (deep down, I know he liked it, he was just putting on a show), but Jacob was fascinated with the whole process and couldn't do much but stare.....much like Lauryn. After Lizzy, the kitty, was stuffed.......the boys..........ok, pretty much...... I picked out the clothes and dressed the kitty. They weren't too into that part. But once they saw how she loved that kitty and hugged it so tight, they decided it was fun and they loved it! Lauryn was SO cute with the kitty. She's already showing her nurturing side.
What a fun birthday....I love you sweet Lauryn!

The fire is out...

Spencer's soccer team was called "Fire" and they did really well this season. They NEVER lost a game! There were some pretty incredible 6yr. olds on that team! It went by really quickly and we all had a lot of fun. He had practices once a week and a soccer game every Saturday. I have to say that he improved A LOT and we are very proud of him. He still doesn't really get how the game works and he's not that aggressive, but he had a great time and made new friends. That's all that matters, right?
After their last game, the coach handed out trophies to all the players. Spencer is VERY proud of his! Then they had jump houses and free food afterwards. We had a lot of fun and are DEFINATELY thinking about putting him in it again.

Nana and Popi came to visit!

My Mom and Dad drove all the way from Cincinnati the last week in April to visit us and we had a BLAST!!

This is the chest my Dad made for us! Isn't it gorgeous? It's a tradition that my Dad makes each of the daughters a chest after they get married and it takes A LOT of time and sacrifice to get it done. And, WOW, look at the product! He is SO incredible at what he does. I just can't believe his hands made this piece of furniture. It has a beautiful shiny finish, 2 drawers on the bottom, an inlay of a star inside the lid, and it is fully lined in cedar wood! Dad, we will treasure it FOREVER! THANK YOU! WE LOVE IT!!

Mom and Dad took us to Disney World! We had a blast and made memories that will last forever! Our first day was at Magic Kingdom.......
Lauryn warmed up pretty quickly to her Nana and Popi. Here we are waiting in line for a ride and she's playing with her Nana.

Jake thought the train was too loud and Lauryn was so happy, she almost jumped right out of Spencer's lap!
The Swiss Family Robinson treehouse

Spencer wouldn't let us take a picture of him wearing the "Jack Sparrow" hat and wig, but Dad didn't mind! :)
AHHH....the day at Magic Kingdom is done.
Everyone was SO worn out! The kids didn't give me ANY trouble going to bed.
The next day was Animal Kingdom!! The boys were SO excited!!
Riding the tram to Animal Kingdom
The tree....it was SO amazing....look at all the intricate carvings!

On the safari, we saw lots of animals like giraffes and lions and trees called "upside down trees" because they looked like the roots were on the top.

Bein' silly

Lauryn fell asleep on the train ride....Yes!!!
Dinosaurland....the boys FAVORITE!!

Having fun at the resort!

Dad brought all the stuff to make ornaments and taught us how to do it. They turned out pretty coot!

This was my kids first experience with Disney World and Jacob was pretty much scared of every ride and Spencer turned white as a ghost after any kind of rollercoaster and was SO close to throwing up. The boys couldn't understand that it was all just pretend. Hopefully the next time they will know what to expect.
On the way home, we asked them what their favorite part of the vacation was and Jacob said, "jumping in the pool with Popi" and Spencer said, "Animal Kingdom." I have to say that Animal Kingdom was Dan and my favorite too. It was a lot less chaotic than Magic Kingdom and most of it was shaded to make you think you're in the jungle, which made it cooler :)
THANKS, MOM AND DAD! WE HAD A BLAST!!
